Tongues of Dust is a new poetry/art series at Kinpaurak that seeks to appreciate ancient languages through original work, translation, and visual art.
–>Please provide a translation of your piece in a modern language. We prefer English, but if not, you are free to translate your words into any other working language.
We feature poetry in Sumerian, Akkadian, Egyptian (hieroglyphic, Coptic, Demotic, etc.), Ancient Greek, Old Norse, Old Welsh, Old Irish, Old English, Aramaic, Biblical Hebrew, Sanskrit, Classical Chinese, Avestan, and other ancestral tongues. Latin is allowed—but only if it gets strange.
Your work will be published on a special section of our website!
